May is a transitional time for many landscaping. The weather changes from 70-90 to over 100 degrees. Your grass will change from winter rye to the dormant Bermuda grass. Many of your garden plants are ready for harvest and a few need to be planted. It is time to ensure that you yard is ready for the heat.

 

The following items should be addressed to protect your yard and landscape through the heat:

 

• Weeding watch the Bermuda grass it can over take other areas of your yard
• Fertilize on a monthly basis. Watch plants for yellowing of leaves
