The Grammys a night filled with entertainment from red carpet through the entire show. Live television brings many interesting performances and red carpet moments.
The red carpet filled with the top in the music industry. Adele starts the night off on the red carpet in an emerald green rhinestone embellished Givenchy gown and a lemon shaped pin.
She was royalty at the Grammys winning all the categories she had nomination. She ended the evening with a broken Grammy; Elmer’s Glue may be of assistance.
The big talk of the red carpet is the “Trump Dress” designed by Andre Soriano. Joy Villa states on Twitter, “I Wore Trump Grammys Dress to Fight ‘Suppressive’ Hollywood.” It did bring conversation that carried from the red carpet to talk shows days later.
Soriano is known for his red carpet looks from glamorous to controversy. He states on Facebook, “I created the Trump Gown to END Hatred and Hostility, “Choose Love, And Stand Tall.”
It is rumored to be CeeLo Green behind the gold CP3O on the red carpet. If not Green could it be Gnarly Davidson? This is an alter ego created by Green.
James Corden, host for the evening, started the night off with a great performance of mistakes. He regained control with a rap where he states, “Let’s save it at all costs.” The live show had various hick-ups in the evening, but each performer took each moment in stride. Adele started her tribute to George Michael to stop in the middle and start again. Metallica’s performance, “Moth into Flame” with Lady Gaga had serious microphone issues for James Hetfield. He saves the performance by sharing the microphone with Lady Gaga. Hetfield a constant professional whom over the years has learned to saved it at all costs.
Beyonce gave a performance of a lifetime. She dressed in monochromatic gold. She was a golden goddess as she carries twins. Her performance included, Love Drought” and “Sand Castles”, from her Lemonade album. She received two Grammys for the evening.
Bruno Mars takes the stage at the Grammys wearing a glittery purple jacket to memorialize Prince. This was just the first moment performance about Prince viewers knew it was going to be a performance of a lifetime. “Jungle Love” performed with The Time, really kicked the performance off. His guitar riff left viewers with great memories of Prince, but an appreciation for the talent Bruno Mars brings to the industry.
